2012 Winter Holiday Closing Announcement: December 24th - January 1st
November 28, 2012-- The American Immigration Council's offices will be closed from 12/24/12 - 1/1/13
The International Exchange Center will be closed during the week from Christmas Eve through New Years Day.
All applications that we receive in our office after December 18th will not be reviewed until January 2nd at the earliest. Applications received on or before December 18th will be reviewed by December 21st, but our staff will not be conducting webcam interviews or issuing DS 2019 forms during the period of December 24th - January 1st.During the holiday week, the International Exchange Center Staff will be available to assist J-1 participants, host companies, and immigration attorneys in case of emergencies and with urgent matters regarding immediate assistance.
If there is an emergency that requires the attention of an IEC Staff member, please refer to this list to determine who to contact on which days when the office will be closed:
December 24, 25, and 26 – Jai Misra
December 29, 30, and 31 – Lois Magee
December 27, 28, and January 1st – Moksheda Thapa
*December 22nd and 23rd are the Saturday and Sunday before the holiday, so for any urgent matters during these two days please contact Lois Magee, since no one will be in the office on Monday, December 24th to respond to messages.
