Your AIC Ambassador: Allison Wannamaker
About Allison: Allison Wannamaker practices immigration law at Lewis Thomason in Memphis, Tennessee. Removal defense, federal litigation and appeals, employment-based immigration, religious workers, and the immigration consequences of crimes are particular areas of interest. Prior to joining Thomason Hendrix, Ms. Wannamaker was the managing attorney of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) detention program in Los Angeles and New Orleans, representing unaccompanied children, asylum seekers, and other non-citizens detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Ms. Wannamaker is a graduate of Rhodes College and Georgetown University Law Center. She is licensed in Tennessee, U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Ninth Circuits, and several federal district courts.
Previously, Ms. Wannamaker has served as treasurer of the AILA Mid-South chapter and pro bono chair of the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA) immigration section. In addition to AILA, her community and pro bono activities include Memphis Immigration Advocates (MIA) and the Community Legal Center's (CLC) Immigrant Justice Program.
