STATEMENT OF PARTNERSHIP FOR A NEW AMERICAN ECONOMY CO-CHAIRS MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERG AND RUPERT MURDOCH ON HOUSE REPUBLICAN IMMIGRATION REFORM STANDARDS
Following the announcement of the House Republican immigration reform standards, Partnership for a New American Economy Co-Chairs Michael R. Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch issued the following statements:
“We are now in a position for the first time in a generation to reach true immigration reform that will help the economy grow and create jobs,” said Michael R. Bloomberg, Co-Chair of the Partnership for a New American Economy. “I applaud Speaker Boehner and the House Leadership for building a framework for action and recognizing that good policy is good politics.”
“Speaker Boehner’s principles signify that 2014 is the year for action on immigration reform,” said Co-Chair of the Partnership for a New American Economy Rupert Murdoch. “We will be doing everything possible to support House Leadership and move this process forward so that we can grow the U.S. economy and help businesses compete globally.”
