Following the announcement by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that they reached the congressionally mandated H-1B cap for 2017, New American Economy issued the following statement:

“Once again, we’ve exhausted the number of visas available for high-skilled workers in less than a week,” said John Feinblatt, Chairman of the Partnership for a New American Economy. “Now, we’ll send thousands of innovators home, along with all of the jobs and revenue we know they can create. We need an immigration system that matches our economic needs, while protecting our American workforce.”
