Statement from NAE Executive Director Jeremy Robbins on the Reintroduction of the Dream and Promise Act

Following Reps. Roybal-Allard (D-CA), Vasquez (D-NY), and Clarke (D-NY) reintroducing the Dream and Promise Act, New American Economy issued the following statement:

“NAE applauds the reintroduction of the Dream and Promise Act this week, which would provide a path to citizenship for Dreamers and TPS holders who have built their lives in the United States,” said Jeremy Robbins, Executive Director of New American Economy. “Dreamers and TPS holders are on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, as doctors, teachers, and small business owners providing essential local services — yet for years they have remained in limbo, fearing separation from their families and communities. Congress should swiftly pass the Dream and Promise Act and end the uncertainty once and for all.”
