The Council joined 241 other organizations condemning the Biden administration’s expansion of the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), also known as Remain in Mexico, and continued use of Title 42 to turn away asylum seekers at the border. The letter asks the administration to permanently end these harmful, illegal policies and ensure access to asylum and other humanitarian protections, including through ports of entry.
