Just be sure to make your purchases through their AmazonSmile store -same products, same prices, same service – and choose the American Immigration Council as  the charitable organization you’d like them to give the 0.5% to. Start your shopping at smile.amazon.com

iGive.com

You may be able to double your donation to the American Immigration Council. Many employers offer matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from retirees and spouses may also qualify for a match.

When making an online donation be sure to check “My employer is matching all or part of my donation” and fill out the necessary information.

Donating stock to the American Immigration Council is a great alternative to cash. Instead of selling it and letting Uncle Sam enjoy the benefits of the gain, donate the stock to the Council and enjoy the tax savings of the charitable donation yourself.

When donating appreciated stock to a charitable organization like the American Immigration Council you do not have to recognize the gain. It’s a win-win situation: you are able to make a charitable contribution toward the Council’s mission and avoid tax on the appreciation in value of the stock.

You are doing your part...

Those who are close to you know you are passionate about immigration. Whether at a conference table or at the dinner table, your views on the important role immigration plays in the success of our country are made clear. You talk proudly of your own immigrant story and know that while the details of your story may differ from your neighbors, deep down, they are the same. You understand that in order to make long term progress we must dedicated time to educating the next generation. Most importantly you know that our nation’s moral and ethical values must be reflected in the way we treat immigrants.

We invite you to consider investing in the Council’s future by including us in your planned giving choices  and let our work be the vehicle for your legacy for years to come.

The benefits of a planned gift...

Through a personalized planned giving arrangement, you can assure yourself a lifetime income, realize major and immediate tax savings, pass important assets to your children and leave the legacy of someone who believed in the importance of immigration. Planned gifts can pay you, someone you care about, or both for a specified time. Such gifts may postpone, reduce, or even eliminate capital gains, gift, estate, transfer, and income taxes. Federal law encourages planned giving by offering you important tax benefits for your gifts. To better understand how planned giving can best work for you, we strongly recommend consulting with a qualified legal or financial advisor.

If you would like to place The American Immigration Council in your will, please include the following language:
