New Report Shows Economic Benefits of Passing the DREAM Act

The Center for American Progress and the Partnership for a New American Economy have released a new study entitled, “The Economic Benefits of Passing the DREAM Act,” which finds that the passage of the DREAM Act would add $329 billion to the U.S. economy and create 1.4 million new jobs by 2030, a significant boost to our nation’s fiscal health.

The DREAM Act would grant a pathway to legal status to an estimated 2.1 million eligible youth who were brought here at a young age and who complete high school and some college or military service.
