Following the re-introduction of a bill by Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) that would reform our high-skilled immigration laws, New American Economy Chairman John Feinblatt issued the following statement:

“We need high-skilled immigration reform, especially as we face labor shortages in areas like engineering, medicine, and science,” said John Feinblatt, Chairman of New American Economy. “Senator Hatch’s legislation is exactly the type of constructive progress we need to help our economy grow and compete globally. We encourage the new Congress to pass this and other productive immigration reform legislation this year.”
