If every time you tried to follow a process you came out with a terrible result, you’d probably figure that there was something wrong with the process.
It doesn’t matter whether that process is a recipe for making chili, a set of instructions for assembling a piece of furniture, or a computer program. You can’t get a good result from a broken process.
Almost nobody thinks that we’re getting the results we want from our country’s current immigration system, either. The process is broken. It’s time to fix the process, and as the recent election results made clear, Americans want Republicans to lead the way in Congress.
The system we have now isn’t very humane. It isn’t very practical. And it isn’t good for our economy, either.
In short, it’s bad government. We need meaningful reform, and we need it now.
