Following the announcement of a bipartisan immigration deal from Senators Graham, Durbin, Flake, Bennet, Gardner, and Menendez, New American Economy issued the following statement:
“With hundreds of thousands of Dreamers at risk of deportation, it is encouraging to see Republicans and Democrats working together to find a solution,” said Jeremy Robbins, Executive Director of New American Economy. “This group of Senators has shown that there is common ground to be found on immigration. We know that the devil is always in the details, but we applaud this first step towards a compromise.”
