Following the House passing the Dream and Promise Act and Farm Workforce Modernization Act, New American Economy issued the following statement:
“The bipartisan House majority that passed the Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act today shows that there is will in both parties to finally make meaningful progress towards immigration reform,” said Jeremy Robbins, Executive Director of New American Economy.
“Together, these bills would create a path to legal status and citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants, the majority of whom having been key to America’s COVID-19 response and recovery as essential workers. We applaud the House for leading on this issue, and urge the Senate to swiftly take up and pass these bills into law.”
