Kendra Hudson

Kendra works as State Policy Manager, where they provide state leaders and partner organizations with coordination, research, and technical assistance. Through the Office of New Americans (ONA) State Network, Kendra supports members through monthly calls, convenings, and peer-to-peer coaching to support immigrant integration initiatives. Kendra joins the Council from Virginia’s Office of New Americans, where they served as Immigration Policy Advisor to the Department of Social Services, working on integration policies and programs for immigrants and refugees. Kendra has a strong commitment to racial and economic justice. Previously, they worked as a Legal Aid Attorney in the Petersburg, Virginia area, where they represented underserved clients and assisted a group of Mobile Home Residents in establishing a tenant’s association to defend their housing rights. Kendra holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Occidental College and a J.D. from William & Mary Law School.
