Kristin Clarens

Kristin Clarens is the Post-MPP Project Coordinator for the Immigration Justice Campaign. In this role, she connects clients who were subject to the Migrant Protection Protocols with volunteers who conduct legal orientations and intakes for potential representation by IJC's pro bono attorneys. Kristin lives in Virginia, where she works and volunteers in a variety of ways to support immigrant and vulnerable communities. Prior to her time in Virginia, she spent more than a decade working for a large firm in Washington D.C. in the international white collar crime group. She has spent a significant amount of time working and volunteering with unaccompanied children and families at the border and in detention facilities across the southern U.S. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, a degree in journalism from Northwestern University, and her B.A. cum laude from the University of Michigan Honors College, where she also taught classics for several years.
