Lisa Ruska

Foundations Manager

Lisa Ruska is the Foundations Manager at the American Immigration Council. She develops and leads the execution of a comprehensive foundation fundraising strategic plan, including securing new funding for both general and programmatic projects, while retaining, and growing, existing foundation support. Prior to joining the Council, Lisa worked as the Development Manager for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Lisa has worked on immigration issues both domestic and international for over 6 years. This has come in a variety of contexts, including refugee resettlement with the International Rescue Committee, refugee camp management and humanitarian aid in Sub-Sahara Africa with IEDA Relief, and advocacy of the Illinois Dream Act in 2011. Lisa holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
