Sasha Bershad

Sasha Bershad is the Senior Managing Attorney for the Immigration Justice Campaign. In this role, Sasha collaborates with the IJC Director to further the goals of the Campaign and provides mentorship, training, and technical assistance to pro bono and private attorneys representing clients in affirmative and defensive immigration proceedings. Sasha has been an immigration and social justice practitioner for over a decade, with a focus on representing immigrant survivors of gender-based violence and unaccompanied minors in humanitarian immigration remedies at the non-profit organizations Tahirih Justice Center and Kids in Need of Defense. Sasha holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland, College Park, and a JD from University of California Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings).
