Published: June 3, 2019

Representatives Anna G. Eshoo (CA-18) and Zoe Lofgren (CA-19) have reintroduced the H-4 Employment Protection Act, legislation that would prohibit the Trump administration from revoking H-4 EAD, which provides work authorization for spouses of some H-1B workers.

“America benefits when talented people—especially those in STEM fields—come here to help us compete and out innovate the world,” said John Feinblatt, President of New American Economy. “Making their spouses—who overwhelmingly have high skills themselves—sit on the sidelines will only make it harder for America to recruit and retain the world’s top talent.”
