Government Transparency
The Council uses the Freedom of Information Act to secure data and documentation from government agencies and take them to court when they fail to comply. Once we receive data, we analyze and publish reports to share the information publicly.

Advocates have expressed concerns that families enrolled in FERM are on a fast-track to removal. The information sought will help impacted families and their advocates gain a better understanding of how the program works and families’ rights during the process. The data sought will provide a snapshot of the communities most directly impacted by this program.
