WORK WITH THE AMERICAN IMMIGRATION COUNCIL!

FULL TIME STAFF:

  • Executive Director
    The American Immigration Council is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to build on its exceptional record of increasing public understanding of immigration law and policy with an emphasis on advancing fundamental fairness and due process in our immigration system, as well as emphasizing the value of immigration to American society.

  • Reseach and Policy Analyst
    The Research and Policy Analyst is responsible for providing policy-oriented research and analysis on timely immigration issues, with a particular emphasis on immigration enforcement and the economic impact of immigration.

  • Senior Staff Attorney
    The Senior Staff Attorney will pursue impact litigation and related advocacy efforts on a broad spectrum of issues, which may include the right to counsel, family detention, and border enforcement.

FELLOWSHIPS:

  • The American Immigration Council’s Legal Department hires legal fellows on an as-needed basis. The Legal Department collaborates with students applying for fellowship funding. In order to be considered for a fellowship with us, individuals must either be a current law school student or a law school graduate and must be a strong researcher and writer. INTERNSHIPS:

  • Legal Internship - Summer 2016
    The American Immigration Council is looking for second or third-year law students to join the legal department as interns for the summer of 2016. Interns must be dynamic self-starters with strong research and writing skills and a commitment to Council's mission. Intern projects may include: monitoring and analyzing immigration decisions; legal research and memo writing; analysis of data related to family detention, drafting of requests under the Freedom of Information Act and analysis of agency responses, and drafting practice advisories, pleadings and briefs.
