Brianna Dimas

Director, strategic communications

Brianna Dimas is the Director of Strategic Communications at the American Immigration Council. She leads the Communications Team of the Council. She brings more than ten years of experience leading communications and branding for several non-profit organizations and has a passion for journalism, storytelling, DEI – diversity, equity, and inclusion projects, programming, and leadership development. Previously, she was the Vice President of Programs and Communications at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. She has launched several leadership development programs and been involved with many equity projects especially in civic engagement and corporate board representation. Brianna has extensive experience in communications, media/public relations, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.

She has worked at Newsweek Daily Beast, Women in the World, Scholastic Classroom Magazines, and the San Antonio Express News. 

Brianna holds a B.A. in Journalism and Religious Studies from New York University. She was honored with a "40 Under 40" award by the San Antonio Business Journal in 2018. She also received national recognition from The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics for her work on the CORE4 STEM Program which received a "Bright Spot Award" in 2016.
